I have removed all the wood from the hinge side of the two doors, on my 1933 chevy master eagle coup. I have taken the hinges and doors off, so I can work easier bracing up the door hinge side, with metal, and securing it to the metal base frame, I changed over from wood when I started a year ago.
I could use some direction as to what type of metal and guage to use, and any type of bracing from the top door hinges, and in behind the dash board, so as to add more structure to the car. Of course it isn't a straight piece of work so I must fabricate with out the aid of a full metal shop. Angle iron or channel? I am guessing at 10 guage for enough strength. All is ready for work now!
