Part 2...i haven't seen a post anywhere exactly like my motor. I think the physics are there, i just need to balance them together for the end result. I was going to drop in my '81 z28 but also considered my 77 'vette. Blow up in metal probably better than fiberglass...lol my wiseco pistons 4.040 are domed on spark plug side only, droping off to the valves cuts. I believe the domes are only 8cc or maybe 12cc i need to call them. Don't mean anything by it but i fought off cancer from 09-2010 to work on my 302. I'm near remission and a purpose along with my first grand son being a year old now. Started on my motor in april. Thanks again and i respect your craft with utmost admiration and appreciate your dedication and strive in making better mechanics of all of us... Thanks tj
Fb88, thanks for the very informative reply. What do you feel about all the other replys? Your was really the only one who directly answered my questions. I have never met anyone thus far who has used this combo on a 302. I'm going to grind a little and test fit one cylinder and proceed from there. I've been reading about squelch and squish and i want my squelch between 40-60 (you advised 38) acording to research. I'm concerned about the dome pushing the mix to the valve side of cylinder and causing pm det. I'm thinking about going to .060 mls w/rubber coating to give a little more room. Hope that doesn't drop my cpr too much. I'm going to check the fluid check cc pre and post grind on the heads. I have to stay off the pistons because on balancing done. Heads have already been ported and polished and 2.02 valves...ect. Modified springs, threaded rocker studs and guide plates. Hoping i can use my old alum rr 1.5's.
