My T.C.I. 4 link came with 3 " diameter weld on brackets for my 1955 F100. The original axle is 55 in. wide between the backing plates. I bought a 1985 S-10 with a SBC 350 and a700r4 to swap into the f100. The rear axle only measures 48 1/2 between the plates and the diameter is 25/8". I was going to tub the box to make this work, but now that I need a 3" diameter by at least 55 inches wide. I believe I have to find an axle in Chevy bolt pattern, 3" in Diameter, at least 55" between backing plates.
Because I originally was going to use the S-10 axle, I ordered the Mustang II IFS with chevy bolt pattern. What 3" diam. Chevy axle can I use?
