You know this is the public message that anyone can see don't you? LOL Yes you are right, and I'll give it to you on the thread, now go post a good question.
I've been able to draw wiring diagrams in my paint file and it works pretty well. If I had a way to send one to you so you could see what they look like to get an idea on how I did it I would.
Here are the details on wiring a relay to work with your line-loc. : You'll need a SPDT relay that you can get from most any auto parts store. It is about a one inch cube. It will handle 40 amps. and the way I will tell you to wire it only requires less than one (1) amp to operate it. All terminals are numbered the same no matter what brand you buy.
Do NOT connect any thing to the #87a terminal. Fused power up to 40 amp to the #30 terminal. Power from your rocker switch connects to the #86 terminal. Use a momentary pushbutton switch (mounted so that the clutch linkage will contact it when fully depressed) to complete a ground to the #85 terminal. Connect a wire from the #87 terminal to the positive wire on the line loc. Ground the negative wire from the line-loc to a known good ground. BTW the relays are about $5.oo. I have three on my T-bucket for various things to keep load off of the switches.
I haven't forgotten about drawing a schematic for you for your lne loc. Just been busy. I will do it. I have to grab one of my spare relays from my garage and draw it out or write it out for you. Maybe both if I can get my scanner to send to the 'puter. Allan
