    I'm not sure if you are still around here. After searching for info on vacuum advance I was linked to something you wrote in 2006 regarding vacuum advance and driveability I think specifically on a Ford 351.
    I just want to say I have argued to people about using manifold vacuum to advance timing for years,I joined the forum just to say this.
    Thanks for putting it into words that even non mechanically inclined people could understand.
    I have tuned cars since the early 70s so I seen a lot of untampered with 60s cars that used manifold vacuum. I have switched cars from ported to mainfold vacuum. Everytime the owner is impressed but sometimes when they tell their "all knowing" friend about it they meet with resistance and comments of how it will ruin their engine, some have had their "friend" convert it back to ported vac out of fear.
    I have been called an idiot for doing this more than once by so called tuners that should know better.
