I like the HVLP cap the better than the lvlp and the 1.4mm tip. I set mine at 30psi at the gun, 35psi works fine too if i want to move faster, fluid wide open and fan wide open as well. To get a smaller pattern just move in closer to the surface. This gun sprays like an iwata and gets its high rate of transfer from high atomization and staying close to the surface. For me 4"-6" work best and medium speed passes, it seems with this gun the farther I get from the surface the more overspray I get, it works good close up.
Hey when you get a chance, check your PM's. I ended up getting a Warwick 904HE but not sure which cap to get for the gun, nor where to start for settings. I sprayed clear yesterday with it and it was not bad, but had a ton of overspray, and I had to move pretty slow to get it to lay out nice and smooth. I was using a 4:1 clear unreduced with 25 psi at the gun measured via the gauge supplied. Fluid control all the way out, and pattern adjusted to about 10 inches at 8 inches away
