Mine will go into my Buick.

It came with one from the factory but I had trouble so it was decided to install a 700r4 in the early 90s. It has now come time to replace this unit and with the tech and parts available now I think the 2004r is the way to go.
I am on a very strict budget so I will be cutting some corners. I am retaining the 7 vane pump but will install hard rings and a stiffer slide spring. I am getting a carbon fiber band and raybestos red clutches in the direct but staying with stock borg warner in the rest of the trans. I just want to get it rolling again. I did get a .500 boost valve, larger rev boost valve and spring. I have been reading up on valve body mods but I think I will refrain from doing too much until I can make it roll. I do have a white accumulator spring to replace the broken one that came out.
