Merc chassis info needed
I am redoing my 46 Merc coupe and one of the things I want to do is change to a Must 2 type front suspension. The car has a Volare front suspension grafted on it now.
I would like to replace the frame, but no one makes and aftermarket and a one off would be way more than I could swing. Which leads me to finding a good used one The problem is that Merc frames are few and far between because they are longer than a Ford coupe My question is does anyone know if a 46/47 Ford sedan chassis is the same length as a Merc frame? OR Does anyone know of a website that shows all of the chassis dimensions for the fat fendered Ford products Thanks in advance

There are other differences between the Ford and Mecr frames, so I don't think that is an option. You might try Fatman, they make frame stubs for some vehicles, not sure if that's one. Is cutting the Volare one off not an option??...I am finishing a '36 Ford P/U that had an original MII crossmember grafted on rather crudely and I had the build the section from the firewall forward.
