I am used to dealing with the 54 ford. I might be able to help as I have a service manual for the 52',53' and 54' ford. I am having a hard time understanding exactly what information you need?? Once I know I should be able to scan a copy from my service manual and post it on here for you. Let me know what you need and I will try my best  Have a great day. Brian

Hi,
thanks for your email.
somewhere i have a very simple problem. i can't find on the net a picture or a technical drawing where i can see my block or 49 -53 blocks, with this flexplate type and the auto trans which is adapt and bolt on it.
if i can identify one, i can know what is missing and what model of trans was adapted on my flathead, and it's more easy to find one or parts on ebay or on some net swapmeets.
difficult to find in France people or us cars specialists who know the us flathead engine and all my friends have 60's or 70's cars. here we have french or german flathead, but many of this v8 engine are smallest, cause adapted for an vintage european use. on all parts are not adaptable.
so all informations or pictures with explanation or identity codes or serial numbers are welcome.
have a nice day
sincerelly yours.
Jean Phi
