Metal etch
I'm using up the last of my Nason Ful-Poxy on floorboards and the back sides of the front fenders before I move on to SPI epoxy on the "pieces that count". The Nason Tech Manual says to use a metal etch - has anyone NOT used the etch before using the Ful-Poxy? With what sucess? BarryK's epoxy is evidently an etch product and this step is not needed. I'm doing an induction period now on the Nason and have about 45 minutes left of the suggested 1 hour before I paint.
As long as I'm on the subject - any advantage to using metal etch BEFORE SPI epoxy??? Negatives?? Dave Last edited by Irelands child; 10-03-2006 at 12:43 PM. |

Thought so and wasn't going to use it under SPI without an explicit OK from you, Barry |
