Hey Krist, I know that you are in the upholstery business, so, could you give some kind of estimate for front (split bench) and rear seats in a 1962 Rambler using this Apollo green metalflake for pleated inserts with black vinyl on the rest of the seats? how well would this material hold up on the seats? Would it be more likely to tear in the pleats?

Man, the last time I saw that stuff was on the banana seat of my Stingray bicycle back in the 60's. I had the green and later the red.

Hey My mom had some red metal flake and silver dinning room chairs. That stuff wore like iron but don't let it sit in the sun.
Hey Kevin I had the same seat on my sting ray

Regards
Mark

Fond memories of being the first kid on my block with a custom metalflake banana seat, indeed. I think that was the first experience with metalflake vinyl for most of us 40somethin' crowd!

I seem to remember that a lot of boats used that type of Naugahyde going back to the late 50's or early 60's.

Boy are we telling our age with the banana seats, eh.
Hey Krist, thanks for more inputs. I noticed you have more car interior shots on your websites. How long does it take for you to complete those quality jobs?

Hey now we also had banana seats and I am 28 actually, they are making a comeback for custom bikes. I just thought it was funny when we bought our new house it has metal flake vinyl in the kitchen. I could understand if it was not puke green with metal flakes. Yuck!!!
