Launches Skill Center Website!

The Skill Center website will host instructional and informational videos, technical articles, backyard technician projects, project photo galleries and live online workshops!

July 10, 2006, Crossville, TN: The new Skill Center website will present Metalcraft Tools current productions, as well as 30, 1 hour segments of new instruction video that is currently in production.

Users can purchase and view the videos for limited views or purchase a lifetime licenses to view the video as many times as they want. These videos will cover everything from learning the basics of metal shaping using the English Wheel and Power Hammer to restoring an antique or custom car and even powder coating.

We also will have a tech articles page with links to over 1000 written topics of information from ‘How to Align a Straight Axle Front End’ to ‘Building a Hemi Engine.’

Each week writers will submit new topics and pictures to broaden the information network,” states Mark Davis Director of Metalcraft Tools Skill Center, “We have spent the last year preparing to offer online training. The servers are in place, the labs are completed, and within the next two months the cameras and video equipment should be in place for live workshops.

Another twist is that Backyard Technicians can submit video files of their projects. We are starting to review videos, everything from entering car shows to guy’s fabing floor panels. These videos will show that everyone can learn the skills that Metalcraft Tools Skill Center offer.

I'm fairly sure this will get dumped for advertising. Please read the board guidelines, and you will see that advertising is not permitted in the forums.

I know advertising goes against the rules, and for a good reason. Second time since I have been here, that a first time poster threw up something interesting to me.


Jon- Question for ya! Perhaps a revenue generator?
Since this forum obviously gets more traffic, would it be beneficial to allow (1) advertising post per quarter, for a business that purchases space? Until now, I haven't hit the classifieds in 3-4 months. Keep forgetting about them. A quarterly ad may create more traffic on the "for sale" side.

No. No advertising on the board. Sorry.

Besides, anyone who is launching a website should have enough savvy not to come and paste a press release onto a bulletin board. These guys have a lot to learn.
