Well, it's good to know that you guys can't be schmoozed that easily! LOL But I'd bet good money if I make a big fancy web page with better pictures and "irrefutable proof" and "glowing testimonials" about it, I could sell a million of them!

And yes, I know NOTHING about chemistry either. Just having some fun with all the "water for gas" crap out there.

Yes, it is an oil separator, (old Condensator brand contraption) which, by looking at the picture, needs dumped! It usually goes in the alley to help keep the dust down!! ROFLMAO!

Dencouch,
how the H2O2 reacts with the poop depends on what's in the poop and O2 level before adding.....
(ex: for faster in-ground gas benzene additive contamination break down, H2O2 is injected to "jump start" stimulate bacteria growth in the ground)
to much H2O2 will kill the microbes but just enough will stimulate the microbes for a short while with a burst of O2....

Jmark,
whatcha' got brewing in that pot is God awful complex organic chemistry reactions in the presence of a volatile oxidizer....
(ex:H2O2 breaks down proteins and fats very quickly so the microbes can digest them to produce methane)
collect a sample and send it off for analysis....

from the little I have read, H2O2 added doesn't make for a "sustained" methane output increase....
it is used in regular sewage plants and farms for removing sulfur odor's....

I have a plan!

Let's eliminate (cough, cough) the poop from the mix and just combine his bleach (NaOCl) with your H202

Now THAT should give us an oxygen generator!

Thought I smelled something funny going on in this thread...cough.

Jmark I happen to have some 98.5% pure Hydrogen Peroxide here, wanna make some rocket fuel for the truck? Its too potent to use for anything else. I got a little on my hand once and I'll tell ya thats something I never want to do again, after much water rinsing it eventually turned my skin white and that skin dried up and fell of a month later. It went 1/8" deep in less than 10 seconds.

Just had one of those snake oil salesmen at our shop selling the condensator (new and improved version). Showed us how clean his tailpipe was and how it increased his mileage. As he was showing me how easy it was to remove the container his hand spipped and dumped it all over my shirt. Not impressed.

wow, that thing is still around? LOL Mine is from the 60's! Got it for 5 bucks at the local auction. Only reason I use it is because I was trying to curb my PCV oil sucking problem. Just never took it off. But now that it's making methane, i'm ###### in tall cotton!

And this is their "emission control specialist???" ROFLMAO!!!

and don't forget the high tech test vehicle!!

JPhil,
ya need Hydrogen Peroxide from the drug store

not Clorox bleach!

just parts per million of (bleach) chlorine will kill ALL the critters that make the methane....(as in a swimming pool)

for butt SAFETY: best to add the peroxide after the dump

that's copper oxide stain in the tub!!!!
ya got a gold mine!
tear down the walls so you can rip out all the copper pipes and sell it for $$$$ scrap to be able to buy another tank of gas
