Thats old news..originally that sort of thing was used on the WWII fighter aircraft to limit detonation at military power..like when one is getting a ME 109 on your tail..Yeah it does work..not sure about that particular system tho but the principle is the same..Yup water and alcohol mixture is used..

Edelbrock sold a system like that some years ago. It connected to the distributor and engine vacuume and you set the point of activation. I used it during the time of no lead and poor high test. It worked for detonation but 90 or 100 Hp increase is total BS.

So you don't feel that water injection on a supercharged engine will allow the boost and timing to be increased to get additional hp? Why not?

From the site:

"$189.99
AFM Mr. Freeze Methanol/Water Injection Kit
Engineered by Anderson Ford Motorsport, Mr. Freeze is a universal methanol/water injection kit designed specifically for both carbureted/EFI supercharged and turbocharged applications only." (underline mine)

Holley marketed a kit also back in 84 for any engine, for detonation reduction.

YES, it works great for blown engines. It is sometimes refered to as the liquid intercooler. It will allow you to run more boost and/or timing. It works well on N/A engines as well.
