The steering box won't work. '79 is the last year with a box that'll bolt into your truck. As for the column, keep in mind that Ford starting putting the ignition switch on the column in '80, so it's not going to be a 'Plug-n-Play' operation. You'll have to do a bunch of rewiring. It would be a lot of work considering that power steering columns for the '67-'72 Fords are very plentiful and a bolt-in. You can use a '73-'79 column and it would bolt in just fine, though there would be a couple wires you'd have to change around...nothing major.
