mig welder problem

I need someones advice who has experience repairing welders, my 120v snap on mig that i have used for years has recently developed a problem, everytime I go to weld it draws so much current it pulls my cct breaker in my house I am thinking that there is a short somewhere how ever maybe I"m over looking something any help would be most appreciated

I have a snap on MIG also and I have had it for 13 years. I think maybe your liner is worn out. A few guys have said a new liner does wonders. Also maybe a new cup insulator may help.
