I would like to buy a mig welder for general body work and metal repair. I need a 110v as I live in a motorhome and want to operate it on my 6500kw 110 v generator. I have been told 110v migs overheat quickly with heavy constant welding, usually within 15 minutes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
you never weld for constant 15 minutes not on car anyways, if you do youll probably warp it to unrepairable condition, but 110V gas mig welder is best setup for welding on car
I have used one of these units for a long time..works fine for what we do in repair work..
I have found that mine will cut out if used too hard but I am aware of this and act accordingly..the only time I ever had a prob is when a buddy of mine tried it..he is used to the big production machines and he did overheat it..
Had to adjust him between the ears on that deal..!!!
Even if I get a different welder I will keep the one I have for those little jobs that I do..
