Ok fellas I have a leak out the steering shaft(where the steering wheel hooks to) on my mustang II rack.Is that shaft seal replaceable if so who or wear to get from.
Ill probably get some flack for this but I would try some Lucas rack stop leak. I chased a leak for a month, finally got a new rack and it leaked also. Had a machinest friend make new fittings to no avail. Tried the Lucas and it is fine now. They do make that seal by the way, so you can change it. Good luck.
I didn't get that deep in mine as I used the sealer. I'm sure somewhere online should have them. If your rack is rebuilt it could have a lot of miles on it. Racks are fairly cheap, you might consider a new one. Good luck.
