Kenseth17 ,dave delta dog, rick 5150,(nice car, rick ) thanks guys,

Malc - you're working too hard I am not worthy of your talent.
But since you already drew them .

I like them ALL!

The gasser is too cool. Good thing it's a sedan. I'll have to sit in the back with the engine setback you gave me. I can see it ....sidestep the clutch @9K, hooking up hard and carrying that LF wheel about 200'..I'm dreaming now.

The rat rod is better suited to my lifestyle tho, and it would match my shovelhead. Also I would feel right at home crusin around with my friends and eating a bucket of bbq chicken and tossin the bones on the floor. (the rat has to eat too, ya know) All my cars have that "lived in" look. ..

I really like the super chopped and raked bad boy, but I am way too dorkey to have a car that cool.

Ultimately though I think that when I build it, it should showcase some of the talents I use in my business. .. like .. .uhhhh . well give me a bit and I'll let you know if I can remember what they are.....

OK, decision-
The 50's theme seems to be the keeper. I can build it with a minimum of expense, (I have alot of stuff already) and it will lend itself to changes in wheels, engine goodies, etc as I see fit.

I can't get into the whole 50's costume thing though. Brogans hurt my feet and until I master getting ALL of the food in my mouth white T shirts are out.

I keep looking at the race car -I like the lettering on the door. That paint looks a bit heavy for racing. Should we shorten it to just "power-'puff"?
later, mikey

A rat under the hood when you found it?? Omen??? Seems to me it is just screamin' for a BBC.

Chevy in a ford??? Only way to make it run!!

Very cool car no matter what you decide to do--toss a v-6 and truck 3-spd, diamond plate the floor & go to yer nearest burger joint.

I just tuned in here today.
After reading this particular post, I had to chuckle a little ... and then outright laugh after reading the whole thread.

C'mon guys ... the car is on the trailer already!
Of COURSE he's already got a plan to give it a whole new life! :-)

Like most of us ... "I've never met a car I couldn't fix." <grin>

Go hard Mikey!

Yea Me likes the 429.Or perhaps a 4.6 mustang setup outta a newer mustang efi and puter.
I wouldn't chop it its too cool with the stock roof.
I'd get it home aprt and pull the body off the frame blast and paint the frame and do any suspension stuff while the cars off the frame then drop it back on maybe channel it on the frame to get it down a bit lower.
Shaved handles.Bucket seats tilt/telescopic column/digital dash setup.
Maybe Narrowed rear and 4 links,33s on the back.
Just lemme know,I can spend your money all day long here.LOL

Yeah man. SOHC motor make me wet my pants where am I gonna find one of those but in my dreams.

wet

dream

HEY!!! I got It

6 harley motors with the cranks glued together. If I used 103" stroker motors I'd have a 618" shovelhead that would vibrate the whole neighborhood.
I'll bet no one thought of THAT one huh.

Now quit it.. you are making me act weird.
mikey

37 ford

this is just a thought ,mikey . buy all your suspension and frame stuff from chassis engineering in iowa. the have the best products and prices and they truley stand behind their product.dont skimp on the chassis part any savings usually come back to bite you in the keester.put a 4 inch axle in it, youll be happier with the way it sits. put a(i know what you all are gonna say)chevy small block in it ,it fits the best and you wont have to move it back to gain clearence for the axle.you wont have to split the bones if you run a 3 or 4 speed trans ,much easier and fun too.use a 79 granada 8 inch fits real good .i got almost 20000 miles on my 36 sedan with this same basic stuff . she rides great and is extremely safe feeling on the road.im sure how ever you build it , it will be cool. hey what ever you do DONT paint it black. my wife said to paint the 36 black cause thats the color henry painted it.trouble is she is never around when its time to clean it . and thats all the time !!! good luck on your build .

JB Weld is the only multi Harley engine crank glue strong enough for 618cid.
