miling the heads?

Im working on my chevelle and am not pleased with the performance level. Its got 350 stock bottom end, Comp Cams 268(268/280, Lift .477/.480) Dart Iron Eagle heads 72cc, 165cc intake runners, 2.02x1.60 SS valves. edelbrock performer intake, Holley 650 DP, and hedman headers. The transmission is a turbo 350 with TCI shift kit and TCI breakaway 2200 torque converter. 3.55 gears out back. My concerns are the compression is way too low. It just seems like it doesnt set me back in my seat. It will break the tires loose but it dont pull very hard.My old weazy set up had 64cc heads and the smaller 1.94 valves. Would it be wise to mill the heads to get back down around 64cc again? Or is it cheaper to pawn the heads off and find some that are more fitting? Any input id appreciate guys. Thanks

"Like flat tops" could you be a little more specific. They are either flat tops pistons or they are not.

you need true 10:1 compression. True flat tops or a small dome
like KB piston #9904HC to work with a 70-72cc chamber on a 350.
You need a correctly curved distributor.
You need a 10" 3500 stall and 4.30 gears and some sticky tires (8.5x26x15) ET streets)
A some air lift air bags for the rear chevelle springs for bite.

The 165cc Dart SS heads have modest air flow in stock as cast form.
They need to be fully home ported to wake them up.
Yes you could sell those ehads to someone that needs a larger chamber head
and buy a nice set of entry level true high perf 58-64cc heads
These are sweet.

Then it will set you in your seat.
Another path is to bolt on a supercharger on this low compression motor.
