Millermatic DVI or 210
 

I am preparing to purchase my first welder very soon thanks to my tax return. I have used both Lincoln and Miller's of various sizes and believe that I would like to have a miller. My question is, does anybody have any experience with their new DVI (Dual voltage input) mig welder. Or know how it would compare to a 210.

I looked at one of the DVI's a couple weeks ago a very nice idea indeed. I would personally buy the miller if you have the money.

The 210 has a slightly higher duty cycle and higher output but the DVI would be a lot more versitile. Unless you need to be welding wide open for long periods of time, I think the DVI would be a better choice for most applications.

I'm leaning towards the DVI, but am wondering if 175 amps will be enough.
