Mini Snap On box

Hi all new guy here. I found your site searching the net for a good place to post this. I am on another forum for boats and bought this from another member and cannot find any info on one this old. It was made in the early eighties and was before they started manufacturing "collectables" and as i was told was given to my friends brother who was a Snap On salesman at the time as an award or something. Pretty cool piece and i actually have the full size version that i bought right about then when i got out of high school. I vaguely remember stopping by the local branch office and seeing one of these but was told they were not for sale. Its about 27 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide, pretty heavy to for such a small box. I have seen other small Snap On boxes on Ebay but they were made in the late nineties, much smaller and manufactured as a collectable. This, i believe, is something different (or maybe not lol) . . . . . anyone ever seen one like it?

I used to be A Snap On dealer back in the 80's & yes, these were used as a promotion for the dealers if they sold enough of this "new design" tool box. I have one myself, looks like new, & is in my "guys room" in the house.

They are definately a cool little box. Had a few of my buddies wanting to buy it ,but it's not for sale.

Thanks, this one is like new just about. I think this is a pretty desirable piece being it was before most of the later manufactured collectables. Gonna keep it for my man cave
