Only an idiot would run a mini spool on the street. They are designed for racing only and can be very dangerous when used anywhere else. Especially on any kind of wet or slippery pavement.

Spools run on the street eat up tires and put abnormal stress on axles and differential components. Do yourself a favor and invest in a good posi unit or if you feel the need for something better go to a Detroit locker but never and I mean NEVER run a mini spool on the street.

We ran a '62 Impala years ago with a locked differential. The thing felt like it was going to tip over on a highway curve,

Remember that you are guiding a 2 ton missile and have the obligation to do so with the safety of others foremost in your thoughts.

Do not run a locked differential on the street.

it sounds like you are looking for a cheap posi.

The 9 inch Ford is the small block chevy of rear ends. Parts are every where for the Ford 9 inch.

I would advise not using a spool or mini spool on the street
Dont worry how old you are... it is the mileage on your body that adds up.
