i have a 200 olds silhoette and my gas gauge goes trippy after i get below 3/8 of a tank...would that be electrical or something else?

You need to have the fuel level sensor replaced, I have replaced many for the same problem.

where is that at? well im assuming its in the tank, is it easy to get to or do i have to drop the tank?

Inside the gas tank attached to the fuel sending unit. The gas tank needs to be removed or at least lowered to do this job.

oh well looks like ill stay using the digital gizzy up on the inside roof by the windshield. tells me how much fuel i have used. doesnt help that much though cuz im not sure how big my gas tank is.

Don't give up its not that hard to change. if you have any repair abilities at all I'm sure you can do it. I look at it this way, if someone else can do it, so can I. The only thing so far that I was unable to do is change the point on my water well at the house. And yes I tried!!!! Thank GOD I have not needed any surgery!!

CRAPPY it is going to rain all weekend. we have not had a good spring as of yet. Did you live here at one time? If so where at?

i lived in michigan all my life the air force is the only thing that pulled me out. ilieved in peck and brown city. they are up by port huron in the middle of the thumb.
