How do you know one wire is ground? If that is the case then you can only run as turn signal or park light, not both.
Have you hooked it up without installing to see how it works?

Anything is possible...
You could use a universal trailer light adapter to combine the front turn signals and park lights for the mirrors. Universal trailer light adapters are available at any major auto parts store for about $20-30. They are normally used when wiring a vehicle with separate brake and turn signals to have combined brake/turn trailer lamps. To combine the park/turn lights for the mirrors, you would wire the trailer light adapter module's turn signal inputs into the car's front turn signals, and the module's brake input would be tapped into the car's park light circuit. That's one way to do it. Hope this helps. Joe G. |

Definitely power -ground as the mirrors are molded plastic, no way to ground thru the housing.
Joe g Thanks for the clue on the trailer adaptor. I had forgotten all about them. I go right by Northern tool every day so I'll stop in and see their trailer parts selection as it is huge. I was considering using a diode in each of the supply wires turn and park so I could feed the lamp from 2 sources and not get feedback into each other. |
