Hello,
I am an amatuer painter, I just painted my car in HOK tangelo pearl with UC-35 klear. Well I was going over it yesterday checking it out and I noticed I missed the 2nd coat of klear in a small area. It's been about 48 hours since I painted the car, the HOK manual says you need to sand first before you recoat clear, does anybody have experience with spraying additional klear on after this long, will it lift if I dont sand first? I would like to just shoot the spot I missed, but if I need to, I will shoot the whole panel. |

Scuff the surface with 600 grit and shoot the whole panel. It never works when you try to blow in just a small section with clear. And yes, if you don't sand first it will lift..... it's just a matter of time.

I would suggest shooting the whole panel, then you will not have to worry about a paint edge showing up later.
