Mixing paint, (dumb que)

When I mix my topcoat acrylic urethane, w/my actuator ratio 1 tc to 4 actuator, if say it is off a little bit what is better to be off with more paint or actuator? Thanks, Dana

Hi,i think you made a mistake,are you sure you dont mean 1 part catylst to 4 parts paint????????? you need to mix carefully,too much cat,it might setup before it flows out,too little,it might take forever to get hard........

a lil bit of exrta isnt gonna hurt. it takes bout 25 minutes for the chem reaction starts to kick in then u have to toss it so only mix what u need to. not enuff hardener and it wont set up right

Mix it EXACTLY as they say to mix it, don't be a "junior chemist". There are way too many things that can go wrong with painting let alone messing with what the manufacturer TELLS you how to use it!
