MLS or Felpro 1003/1034 with Pro-filer Alum. Heads ?

400sbc bored 20over ( 4.145 )

I guess I could always wait until my heads get here and mock them up on the head for bore size but I would like to possibly know before hand.

The previous gasket was the Felpro 1034 4.200 in. Bore and Compressed Thickness (in): 0.041 in.

Previous heads were cast iron, new heads will be the Pro-filer 176 series and obviously aluminum. Compression is up there at 13:1

The old saying don't fix whats not broke, well the Felpro 1034 had zero leakage and looked great when removed, headstuds were and will be used again.

Only dealt with MLS on dodge neons thats it

I use felpro 1017-1 on my Edelbrock heads per their instructions. You can always call the maker. I had a bad experience with cometics on a big dollar crate engine and been four years on my blown 496 problem free with felpro's.

FWIW Edelbrock recommends felpro 1014 for 400 small block with steam holes.

Called and they just said Felpro MLS and not a specific model..

Bore 4.200 gasket with .53 thickness

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fel-1144053/overview/

.53 thickness is the smallest, I was used to within my searches .41

I will also send a email to the shop that is working on my heads
