What "message board" ? I'd be interested in seeing what some of the different models look like. Growing up...that is all I did. I haven't built a model for quite a few years now.

The contest will be held at www.blacktoprevival.com in the fire and brimstone forum. The contest isn't sheduled to begin until Nov 20. We announced the classes and rules on Oct. 20th to give everyone a chance to get something built.

Poncho62 - Thats some excellent work. Kit bashing to build that van is what modeling is all about. Thats dedication.

I'm into modeling, but I'm more into armor and airplanes than cars. I just can't get into weathering and blast-damaging a nice car.

I haven't been building any model for quite a few years too. The models in my pics were all built between 10 and 15 years ago.

This 32 Ford is most probably my favourite at the moment and is something I'd like to try build as a full size car someday. It was supposed to be a Phaeton and had a chopped top option of which I only used the chopped windshield frame and filled the side panels.

This 40 Ford was a Tudor sedan but I made it a chopped hard-top.

The engine in this 65 Mustang came from a yellow dragster school bus. The scoop is actually the cap from a felt tip marker.

I got the color scheme on this 49 Ford from a Matchbox '57 Chevy.

I covered the interior of this Mercury with material, tinted the windows and put in a halfway rolled up left side window.

Here is a very nice pro-streeter called 'Max Rat'

I have got a few others too but nothing special.

I'm a custom/kustom guy so alot of my models end up being low. Recently I've got into vintage style drag stuff like gassers. I finally threw this one together last week. It still needs a couple spots touched up on the paint and the wheels but here it is anyway.

I think a fun model like the Drag Nut keeps building models fresh when you're in the middle of a detailed build.

my best friend cuts up hotwheels and puts guns and stuff on them, they look like some sort of politically incorrect military vehicles.

I have a few plastic models, 1:24, but I need an airbrush to do nice work and my parents dont like the mess in my room but someday...
