Model A Parts Question

Does anyone know where I could find an original style gas tank for a 1928 Model A sedan?

I am a big Model A Ford fan. I don't know of any aftermarket manufacturers of the original style cowl mounted gas tank.

The top sheet metal section without the tank is available from several sources.

They can occasionally be found in serviceable condition at swap meets and eBay.

Be sure to have it thoroughly cleaned out and pressure tested for leaks. A good idea is to then have the inner surface coated with a quality lining material.

You can try calling 970-686-2926 he says he has "A" tanks don't know what year. You can try this guy too, but he wants to sell the tank and cowl together. 620-342-0215.

I got these out of an older Hemmings but, some of these guys might still have some stuff.

Geez this getting old is for the birds, I almost forgot we have a guy right close to me in Brainerd that deals in Model"A"s and parts.

Call up Rufus Ranch,on your computer, and he might be able to help, and he has a list you can get on every time he gets more parts. If you live in the TC you can go for a nice drive.
