model-A roof

I guess the first thing I will be doing to the Model-A is the roof,got a few leaks in the roof the wood is rotten in the front.Anybody done this before I hope that It is just need to do the front, hope the rest of the roof will be good.Any Info would be great.

Do what, make a new insert for the roof or "fill" the roof with metal?

Cool because I think the kit for that is like $400, I can just make me something that will work I can spend that money somewhere else.

$400 is pricy..luckly I found my kit a swap meet for $150 or $125...don't remember. But If you have some reminenants of the bad one you could look to it as you make your own. My kit is made of oak and is straight forward.... The front header has some level of conture to it but it's been awhile since I had in my hands so I forget exactly. Here's some pics for reference
