Model A Suspension
I have a 30-31 Model A Tudor Sedan that I'm building a Nostalgic Hot Rod out of. The car is going to have a 52-53 Mercury Flathead V8. I want to lower the car slightly (2-3" front, 3-4" rear). Does anybody have any good ideas for lowering the car this much without much major modification? I plan to reverse the eyelets on the springs and remove a few leafs in the fron and rear. Any other suggestions?

You could also try Yogi's Inc. They have pretty competitive prices and are great to deal with. They ship fast, package well, and their people know what they are talking about. I'm not sure about taking out springs from the stock set-up. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen to me. I'd replace them with something that you know will work and will be safe.
I assume from the nature of your post, that your A is at stock ridehieght currently. A quick way to get an inch is to install reversed eye main leaves for the front and rear.
The front A spring is also a 7 leaf spring - about 3 too many for a highboy roadster, and 2 too many for a coupe/sedan. You can pull the top two leaves, cut them down to about 10" long, and put them on the bottom of the spring pack. They have to go on the bottom to keep the spring thick enough for the u-bolt retainer to hold the spring properly.
These mods will get you about 3/4" or so by physically raising the spring, and another 1"+ from the softer spring rate. Be sure to get some quality tube shocks for the front; the softer spring rate will need good dampers to keep body roll down. Both mods will make your tudor ride much better.
In the rear, reverse the spring eyes, shuffle two leaves to the bottom of the stack for 2-3"'s....if you want more in the rear, a simple suggestion is to try and find some longer shackles, or possibly fabricate them yourself. It is a pretty simply project, press the pins out of the out ones(or new aftermarket ones) cut some flat stock, drill the proper size holes further apart, press the pins into one side, reassemble.
