Post Model A Tinker Toy clutch linkage ?

OK, I'm almost to the point where I ned to fabricate some kind of clutch linkage in my coupe. I've got the tranny and scattershield all bolted up to the fat block, everything is sitting there ready to go, but there's no room left for clutch linkage. I'm using the pedals that mount through the floor, not swinging pedals. Anybody out there ever faced this problem before ? Should I go hydraulic or try to weasle a couple of rods down through that tight little hole between the engine block and the frame ? I know this has been done before because I've seen a bunch of 4 speed hotrods running around. So all you experts out there in cyberland, I'm listening, bend my ear......
Thanks.

Tinker toy

I have a 28 Model A with SBC and a T-10. I hit the swap meets and picked up a Z -bar a bunch of old linkage rods and a ball that screws into the block for the Z-Bar to swivel on. It has been in for two years now and it is still working good. You will just have to play with the rod length a bit and make sure you put a good return spring on it.

Good Luck and have fun
