Model A Vega Steering

I am building a 1930 Ford Model A Pickup streetrod (SBC 3500/TH350).

I have questions regarding setting up the front suspension and steering.

1. I am using a Vega steering box with cross steering. Where exactly is it mounted? Looks like it needs to be under the engine mount or just in front of it.

2. Are the motor mounts flush with the top of the frame or set down a little? How far back from the radiator should the engine mounts be?

3. I want to drop it a little in the front, but not belly out on speed bumps. How did you lower your car (raised front cross member, reverse eyed spring, dropped axles, etc)?

I want to thank you in advance for your assistance.

Larry

On my coupe mounted vega steering on inside of frame rail about flush with front of motor. I used chassis engineering motor mounts flush with frame, steering side had to offset for vega box. I used chassis engineering 4 bar front suspension,I had to take out middle leaf for it to give was way to stiff, but not using fenders or hood if that makes a difference. Then had to get shorter shocks for front. On 4 bar crosssteer when setting up be sure cross link and tie rod bars are parallel .Should use front panard bar too. IF you want pm me will send you some pics of mine. HTH
