modifying glide shift point

Can I modify the governor on a glide to make it shift at 7000 to 7200 in drive at wot?

Never heard of anyone doing that. You can adjust the throttle pressure valve internally, but that's only good for a couple of MPH. Is there a problem with shifting it manually? I have one Glide that has an internal electric shift; it can be wired into the shiftlight to shift at a predertimined RPM. King and TSR both make them. Butch/junior stocker.

No problem with manual shifting, just looking to remove a variable for bracket racing.Figured it might be a little more consistant.
