Mohawk tr 5 lift

I just acquired a mohawk tr 5 lift from the widow of a buddy of mine, the lift was disassembled and repainted\refinished, but I have only a guess of the way this thing goes together. does anyone have ideas? I went on their website, but of course, they have no info on this lift!

I would email them and see if they will send you a manual.

got a return call from mohawk, they emailed me an assembly manual, now all i need to do is see what parts I need, so far, I see I need a chain roller and the safety lock springs, Hope they can get me these parts! They said the lift is from 1984, and they have very few parts

Dig around here or give them a call:

www.sviinternational.com

SVI seems to more or less specialize in parts for out of date lifts. They sell direct, I think, and they also have some distributors (like www.automotiveshopequipment.net )

No relation, just happen to have a lift by a long-gone company (autolifters) and have been keeping my eye out on where I can get parts when the time comes. (I -do- have a set of truck adapters from SVI that I got from the automotiveshopequipment.net guys, too)

good luck with the old mohawk. post some pictures of the before and after (or if you need specific help, pictures of that too! )

I ordered the chain roller from mohawk, but they no longer carry the safety bar springs and were less than helpful with info on spring rate and height , I need to comb a 150 x 200 building full of junk to see if they are somewhere there But, I can't get the lady to call me back so I can go there! I may just have to engineer them myself! I will call svi on monday! Thanks!

Call them again, maybe you'll get to talk with someone else. I'm sure they have old engineering drawings somewhere, which should list the spring specs and anything else you'll need on it.
