molding adhesive

Hey Gents, I am looking for a weather adhesive that will hold to paint and to rubber. This is real rubber, not the rubber coating over foam. The project is a 20 year old Peterbilt. I need to seal the sleeper boot I have tried latex based caulk and silicone based caulk, neither has adhered very long.

molding adhesive

3M adhesive, 1300 or 1357. Comes in a tube. Mask to protect painted areas. Follow instructions. Commonly called "possum snot". Good stuff.
