Molding fiberglass skirts with 3M 8115
Would like to mold some side skirts on a car. Can I use 3M 8115 to mold these fiberglass skirts onto steel body?

I think I'll use Evercoat metal-to-metal body filler on the joints

I wouldn't use the metal to metal, the off gassing of the metal to metal on fiberglass could bubble down the road, I'd use short strand fiberglass by evercoat, more compatible with both surfaces.

Isn't metal-to-metal a fiberglass based body filler? That's what my auto body teacher said. He was mad when I've used it in shop cause of "fiberglass dust everywhere"

Actually it's aluminum based and uses fiberglass resin, the off gassing comes from the aluminum...metal to metal is the same principal as a product called aluma-fill. Like all Ski-do's are snowmobiles but not all snowmobiles are Ski-do's.
