Monster Garage looking for participants

Representatives from the television show Monster Garage have repeatedly contacted me in an effort to locate knowledgeable hotrodders to participate in upcoming shows. They are obviously familiar with our site and our board, and probably spend some time in the background here, reading our discussions.

Monster Garage specializes in building one-of-a-kind, challenging automotive projects. I know from talk on the board that Monster Garage has one of the better reputations among the new breed of gearhead shows.

If you are a skilled or knowledgeable hotrodder, fabricator, welder, body tech, racer, or engineer, and you are interested in participating in a show, please send me a PM with your contact information, and I'll pass it along to the Monster Garage casting coordinators.

i'd do it, but i'm not a master at anything.
i know a lot of stuff, but i also don't know a lot of stuff.
i will say though, that i can figure out anything and that i'm pretty good with coming up with ideas on how to "make" things work.

and to top it all off, i do have a very smart mouth, so i should fit in nicely.

Jon, if you want to send this in, thats fine, if not, thats fine too.
you already have all of my info.

I'm pretty good with motors and troubleshooting, but comon. Some of the guys who are on there have been doing this stuff for 30, 40 and 50 years. Would be kinda cool to see a show with a bunch of younger guys who are just weekend warriors or new mechanics do a fun project. My vote would be for turbo S10, willys or somebody like that for a really in depth mostly body type project like they normally do. They should do a project like this: They make a bunch of old guys who are in the muscle car era build a ricer, have a bunch of ricer boys build a muscle car, give them like budgets, and see who's car wins. lol.

Gimme the tools, material, and some spec sheets and I can build about anything.......

I would love to do it if there is really interest in a team. I think that a Hotrodders.com team could be very interesting. There are alot of very good fabricators on this site.

Lets roll willys

Chris

I've applied twice, and had no response in either case.
Several people I work with and for said I would be a great candidate for the show but evidently the people that review the applications don't consider anything without a videotape of you and your skills.
Something which they fail to tell you in the online application process, I guess.
I have considered re-applying, but currently don't have the time off to be able to go out for a week for an episode taping.

Yeah, I'll go and clean up the shop after each day and help around a bit, be the janitor and clean up their mess and bring the guys their beer! And like 40ford said, get a crash course from Jesse...

If you get on you would not see yourself on tv for quite a while.
They have 46 shows fimed as of right now.
I did apply with a video they called a couple of months ago and said i was on the list as a welder.
But it might be next year if they do chose to have me on the show.
They are planning to have another all girl team again.
