Anyone running a torque converter from this company? Thrir e-bay store has good prices, but I don't know anything about them. I'm going to be needing a 3000 stall converter for a turbo 350---any sugestions as to what brand to buy? I'm on a tight budjet
thanks

Hughes - best choice
B&M - good choice.
TCI - bad choice.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

Currently using a Monster Transmission 3,000 stall torque converter, been using it for the past 5 months no problems at all, working just fine. Mine is in a 700R transmission, though.

PDQ is a brand of torque converter sold by many trans parts houses.

I've heard many good things about another brand besides those previously mentioned;l namely- Boss Hog (parent company ACC). Although I couldn't afford their pricing for my ride (I'm using a 2200-2600 from RoadRunner of Phoenix,Az in my 700R4,which I'm quite happy with so far, but it's a lo-buck unit), but many people had suggested the Boss Hog line to me-just a bit pricier than what my budget would allow. The Monster Transmission site does generally have a good reputation on their products from what I've seen, and 24hr Customer Service to boot. Another one you might check is G-Men Transmissions, also out of Florida. I suggest you speak with several of the possible providers and ask them specifically what is included in their builds,(Torrington bearings, furnace-brazes or tig welded fins, etc...), to see what each is offering for the money they are charging, and how willing they are to spend time answering your questions! If they are evasive on answering specific questions or seem to want to sidestep such matters , then that might be just a precursor to how they might try to dodge you when you have a potential problem or warranty need. Hope you find something that works for you.-Jim
