mopar 8 3/4 gear questions
does anybody (im sure some one does) know the difference between the 2 different castings on a 8 3/4 rear externaly and which one is which?
i know the pinion on the inside that one is tapered and one is stright but i dont know which is which. i think the numbers are "742" and "489" but im not sure. is there any other signifinte difference of the two internaly or externaly? which is stronger? which is easyer to find parts for? any help would be greatly appricheated thanks dave
