By the time you've sprayed for a minute with that gun, your compressor is already behind in air delivery and you're probably not getting full atomization. See what your SCFM or CFM rating is on your compressor. you need probably 14CFM for those guns. if your compressor is less than that, you'll have some of the problems you mentioned.
