more room in engine compartment 65 mustang

got a 65 mustang and no room in the engine compartment. i want to notch the shock towers. any kits? what can i cut and not compromise structural integrity?

I've done a pie...

slice, and installed struts on a friends 66, not
that difficult to do, but time consuming...

Kits are available or you can fab it. Below is what one properly done looks like.
