Mosquito in my clear!

I just sprayed the first coat of clear on a 2000 Mustang I've been working on for 4 months. A nasty Michigan mosquito landed on the hood. I tweezered him off but his legs stuck. I also have a couple small sags on one door. Can I let this dry a day, sand out the bug and stuff and then continue clearing? I am using Transtar Kwik Gloss 6841 and 6894 activator. This is a 4:1 mix.

HAAAA darn bugs, I think they see the shine and wont a drink, lol. Seems if theres a mosquito in the room anywhere he always endís up in the clearcoat go figure.

Well Iím not familiar with the Transtar Kwik Gloss but I donít know if sanding a sag out with only one coat on would be a good idea, under that sag is only one coat and if you miss with your paper and go through you might move your base and have bigger problems at that point. Just my two cents.

Rick.

If you are VERY careful, it is possible. Agreed, with only one coat of clear you have very little wiggle room.

Ok, thanks for the info. I am going to try. If I have to, I will strip the hood and reshoot it, but I can't leave mosquito legs in it. As for the sag, I will continue clearing then do what I can when I cut and buff.
