Motion to change Docvette's position on the "top 25" editors banner

i dont feel like my screen name belongs before his on the list, and i dont think he belongs just kinda grouped in the middle, although i realize it wasnt intentional.

i suck with this kinda stuff, i have no idea how to really convey what im thinking or feeling, But i dont think anyone thats been on here long enough to remember him will disagree that he should be moved straight to the beginning of the list.

agree / disagree ?

Disagree........The top 25 is just that.......Mikey, being #1 and so on down the line. Doc wouldn't want it any other way either. Nice thought though.

Maybe we could just flash his handle in neon, or highlight it with a wreath. I still think about him almost every time I log on.... (along with a few others, you too, Ponch)

I agree. Doc has a tribute here, I don't think he would want more than that.

Doc was sick and bedridden for a long time, but he wanted to be treated the same as anyone else..Here was a place where he could be a regular guy.

I think it would please him to no end if enough people contributed to the wiki, that he was bumped from the list of top contributers by contributers with more CONTRIBUTIONS.

Aside from Jon, who has over 3000 wiki edits, I am top contributor...with slightly more than 100. That is pitiful.
The wiki has been on site here for well over 1 year, and that is the best that could be done? There ought to be several hundred members who can beat me right out of that list by contributing edits and articles.

Now don't just go start editing stuff for the fun of editing and building your post count...that would be poor sportsmanship.

Mikey - have you cast the gauntlet in a challenge??

Please don't take it wrong - but a lot of folks are on here a lot and that includes me. But usually I stop by my computer on my way to or from doing something else - it's in a room by the back door and the cellar stairs. This is what I believe many others are doing as well. In this case - my wife called from work and asked me to looks something up. Now, I'm going back to doing what I was doing before she called. I promise - I WILL do some more (then my 2) WIKI entries - soon .

And yes - while I had very little interface w/Doc, and never really got a chance to "know" him - I'll be needing his kind of help shortly -

Dave W

lowROLLERchevy -- that's very selfless of you, but the names are in order of number of wiki edits (I know I didn't list them on there, so it's hard to tell). I considered not even adding doc's name to the list (out of an effort at good taste), but figured that the most tactful thing to do was to keep him on there, in the exact order he had earned through his contributions.

I never tried to cast something in a challenge, usually I use a mold.....HARharhar..

Just do it.

I took a bunch of process pictures while fitting the 3 piece hood, hood hinge and 'glass fenders on a 35 ford that just came through the shop...I think that might make a good wiki.

I might have one or 2 more...

If I ever get caught up with shop work, I'll start on them.
