I have a 377 sbc used a 400sbc and a 350 crank. 6" rods. now I seen in the p.a.w were they use a 350 block how? now if this is true. can I use my parts out my 400 and go into the 350. to get a 377? 400 4-bolts are getting a little high priced.thanks

if i remember right the 350 block and the 400 crank was a better combo, i havent done the math but i do remember these two combos, and the 400 was not the better of the 2, iether way they are stump pullers.

yes a 350(4 inch bore) block with a 3.750 stroke crank gives 377. .030 350 with 400 crank as i'm sure you already know is 383. 400 bored .030 over with 350 crank is also 377

the question was could he use his assembly in a 350 block; answer is no because the pistons are for a 4.125 based motor(400) the 350 has a 4in bore and can only go .060 safely, 400 blocks around here are real pricy too. but i remember back in the early seventies when i threw out half a dozen of them because nobody wanted them-you couldn't give one away, my how times have changed.
