Motor Fit

Scuzzy here n I got a 47 Tudor with a Early Flat Six with the Dis on Front Drove by Cam, Will a Later Flat Six with Side Dis Bolt in or are they Difrent? Thanks in advance! Scuzz

Do you mean inline six? There were very few flat engines used in automobiles. The last American, I think, was in the Corvair.

Ya its a InLine Six-FlatHead, Ford came out with it sometime in the Early to Mid 40's, I have had 2 of them n they R Great Engines! The one I got now is the Early one n has the Dis on Front=Early 47, later in the Year about October I Believe it was UpDated with a Sid Dis n a Mild Compresion Bump up. Thanks, Scuzzy69

We had a 48 ford truck with the flat head six on the ranch when I ws a kid, It would climb the hills in granny first gear the some of the jeeps had trouble with.

Scuzz agin n I Bought a Later 226 FlatHead Ford Six n now in search of Parts to Freshin it up-Rings n Bearings-Posably Pistons-Havnt tore it down Yet but was Told it ran OK.
