Post Motor Mounts?

I`m getting ready to put the motor(350 sbc)on the frame of my project and need some advice on motor mounts. I have a `38 Ford frame with mustang ll front suspension. Has anyone ever used a 55-57 style chevy motor mount? I am thinking of useing one but I`m not sure it will clear the rack and pinion. Just looking for advice on what would be the best choice.
Thanks,
Dennis

Motor mounts for the small block chevy are the simplest to fabricate and are sold by everyone and their brother who builds early Ford chassis. No one, and I mean no one, would use 55-57 peg mounts in anything other than a stock tri-5 car or truck.
The rack is on the front side of the Mustang II suspension crossmember and should not have anything to do with the engine clearance.

the 55-57 mount style isn't used because they have to have the rear mount at the belhousing ala 55-57, if you use the far front mount and the rear trans mount you will break the belhousing on a modern trans, too much unsupported mass.
