Motor mounts on a 74 Camaro BB

Hey I have a quick question regarding my car. I am getting ready to drop in a 454 in my 74 Camaro, and was interested in Solid motor mounts. When looking up solid motor mounts in summit and jegs, the description made them sound universal. Does anyone have any experience with any solid motor mounts in a 2nd gen? I really dont want to mess with anything universal if I can help it.

I used the moroso solid mounts with a bbc in a GM A-body. They are close to the same height as regular mounts but about fifty times easier to install and they make removing and installing the motor alot easier. I didn't notice any additional vibrations but make sure that if you use solid mounts you have to use a solid transmission mount or mounts or you may end up breaking the transmission bellhousing.

thanks for the help. Was there any modification required? I am hoping to avoid any cutting or drilling.

The bottom of the motor mounts can be bolted or welded into place, I would recommend welding for your Big Block, (I welded mine and it made 550HP and never cracked or anything) That way you don't have to drill holes in your cross member.
