Post motor swap mounts for a pontiac?....

i have a slight problem...
i have a 1979 pontiac trans am, it originally had the 403 olds motor in it. i took that out a got a block from a 68 gran pirx with the #16 heads, and built it with the best of everything. and i have also completed all the chassis and underbody work. now my problem starts. i need motor mounts that will fit the 79 crossmember and the bracket for a 68 motor. i need help i'm so close to finishing my car and i want to get it running..
please and thank you
Tom

Well as far as frame mounts you can use them from any Firebird that had a Pontiac engine. Your main problem is that the 68 doesn't have the mount bosses for the later chassis as the 72 and up blocks did. There are kits available to do this but the source escapes me at this time. Send me a personal message through here and I can put you onto where you need to go to try to obtain the mounts you need. Now I have seen people bolt a plate to the block and bolts the motor mounts to the plate but you have to get the measurements precise or it will not set in properly. Write me and I'll get the information you need. Goat

Indian Adventures has motor mount adapters for 2-bolt engine to 3-bolt chassis & vice-versa.
